# What are the schools’ behavioural expectations for students?

HKA’s Secondary School Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct outline a wide range of policies related to academic integrity, device use, anti-bullying, attendance, uniform and behavioural expectations.

These are all built on the core principle of respect for oneself and others and are designed to ensure students feel safe, supported and successful. Students review the handbook and code of conduct with their Advisory group at the start of every academic year and families are also required to review and acknowledge them together. If unexpected behaviours occur, students will incur appropriate disciplinary measures and be supported by faculty and counsellors as needed.
