It was a busy summer on the HKA campus, which played host to a hugely successful co-curricular seasonal programme. Over the course of six weeks, a combination of external service providers and HKA employees led 116 different courses and classes open to current students and outside community members.
Varying in number of days and involving children of all ages, activities on offer included sports, dance, film, theatre, visual arts, wing chun and multi-activity sessions. We were also very excited to have some of our older students serving as coaches and assistant teachers in many of the courses.
Participants enjoyed getting to use our specialised learning spaces to create, practice and hone their skills in a collaborative and fun setting. The programme reflected our commitment to nurturing a joyful learning environment that encourages children to try new things as well as develop their passions in a range of different areas. It was wonderful to welcome so many of our own students, and we also had nearly 200 sign ups from non-HKA students. We received many comments of appreciation from these children and their parents about the programme, our facilities and the excellence of the instruction.
