How healthy are the meals at hkaEATS?

  • Overall hkaEATS strives to provide a full range of balanced options that are rich in plant based-foods and low in empty calories. We also want students to learn to make healthy choices on their own and so, for Secondary School students only, we provide a smattering of more indulgent options such as cookies, muffins, doughnuts and cakes.
  • We work very hard to accommodate students with special dietary needs. We operate the cafeteria as a ‘nut free’ facility and we also have at least one item every day that is dairy and egg free. We also have a daily vegetarian option along with an abundant vegetarian soup and salad bar.
