GRADE 11 & 12 COURSE SELECTION
Below is an overview of prospective courses on offer at HKA for students in Grades 11 and 12, starting in August 2024 and graduating in May 2026. Course requirements at HKA are expressed in the form of credits, with one credit reflecting one year of coursework. The designation of these credits and the rigour of all HKA courses has been verified by the school’s status as accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
Students are strongly encouraged to study what interests them and what aligns with their post-secondary ambitions. To best understand what these courses entail, we provide a number of opportunities for both students and parents to learn our pathways to graduation, course offerings and post-secondary requirements prior to finalising course selections. Throughout the journey, our teachers, administrators and counselors are available to answer questions and provide support so that every student feels empowered to make the best decisions for themselves today and in the future.
* Self-taught courses require external tutoring and result in the awarding of a bilingual IB Diploma
Note: all subjects offered are driven by student choice
