The Sai Kung Advantage
Deep Roots and Community Bonding
HKA’s strategic location offers an unparalleled educational opportunity which allows us to integrate the local environment into our curriculum, providing students with authentic, real-world learning experiences.
We believe that education is most meaningful when it impacts the wider community. Our students, faculty, and families are active participants in the Sai Kung ecosystem. We don’t just reside here; we engage. From environmental science projects in the nearby mangroves to art sessions inspired by the coastline and a host of local partnerships, HKA and Sai Kung are inextricably linked.
Our students lead beach clean-ups, buddy with elderly members from the Sai Kung District Community Center, support local charities, compete for local sports clubs and gain valuable work experience and mentorship. These partnerships and programmes foster a deep sense of belonging and responsibility, ensuring that our graduates leave HKA not just as global citizens, but as compassionate and connected members of the Sai Kung and broader Hong Kong community.
A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Affectionately known as the "Back Garden of Hong Kong," Sai Kung is celebrated for its unique blend of welcoming international community, low-density living and stunning natural beauty.
Renowned for its emerald waters and seafront promenade, what truly sets Sai Kung apart is its unique, family-friendly atmosphere. With its origins as a fishing village, this is a place where a relaxed seaside lifestyle seamlessly meets a dynamic, cosmopolitan vibe. The town is the gateway to the UNESCO geopark whilst also remaining a lively hub, famous for its cafe culture and a multitude of restaurants, a vibrant ‘old town’ and the historic Tin Hau temple.
Whether it's a weekend morning at the bustling wet market or browsing the artisanal shops of the old town, catching up with friends over lunch, tackling a section of the MacLehose Trail, enjoying a game of Padel, tennis, golf, or a boat trip to nearby secluded islands, Sai Kung offers the best of both worlds—a community that prioritises wellbeing and cultural connection as well as easy access to the wider energy of Hong Kong.
