Terms and Conditions: Professional Development Workshop
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before participating in the professional development workshop ("Workshop"). These terms and conditions govern your participation in the Workshop and constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Participant") and [Your Company/Organization Name] ("Provider" or "we").
1. Workshop Registration:
Participation in the Workshop requires registration and payment of the applicable fees.
By registering for the Workshop, the Participant confirms their acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The Provider reserves the right to accept or reject any registration in its sole discretion.
2. Workshop Content:
a. The Workshop will provide professional development content and materials designed to enhance the Participant's skills and knowledge.
b. The Provider will make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content provided but does not guarantee its completeness or suitability for the Participant's specific needs.
c. The Participant understands that the Workshop content is for educational purposes only and should not be considered as professional advice or a substitute for professional expertise.
3. Workshop Fees and Payment:
a. The Participant agrees to pay the Workshop fees as specified during the registration process.
b. Payment must be made in full prior to the Workshop start date.
c. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by the Provider.
4. Refund Policy:
a. In the event that the Participant is unable to attend the Workshop, a refund may be considered under the following circumstances, an admin fee of XXX% will be applied to all requests for refund.
i. If the Participant requests a refund in writing at least 6 working days before the Workshop start date, the Provider may, at its discretion, refund a portion of the Workshop fees after deducting an administrative fee.
ii. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 5 working days of the Workshop start date.
b. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Provider and shall be subject to review and approval.
c. The Provider reserves the right to cancel the Workshop and provide a full refund of the Workshop fees if unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent the Workshop from taking place as scheduled.
5. Workshop Schedule and Changes:
a. The Provider will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the Workshop schedule as communicated to the Participant.
b. The Provider reserves the right to make changes to the Workshop schedule, including but not limited to the date, time, duration, or venue, in its sole discretion. In such cases, the Provider will provide reasonable notice to the Participant.
6. Participant Conduct:
a. The Participant agrees to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner throughout the Workshop.
b. The Participant shall not engage in any disruptive, offensive, or illegal behaviour that may interfere with the Workshop or the experience of other participants.
c. The Provider reserves the right to remove any Participant from the Workshop for violation of these terms and conditions, without refund.
7. Intellectual Property:
a. All intellectual property rights in the Workshop materials, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and other resources, remain the sole property of the Provider or its licensors.
b. The Participant agrees not to reproduce, distribute, or use any Workshop materials for commercial purposes without the express written permission of the Provider.
8. Limitation of Liability:
a. The Provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the Workshop, including but not limited to any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
b. The Participant understands and acknowledges that participating in the Workshop is at their own risk.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
a. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.
b. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Workshop shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
By participating in the Workshop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, you should not participate in the Workshop.
