Student learning progress is monitored and benchmarked over time through a combination of real-time feedback, ongoing assessments, use of learning continuums, and data analysis to inform instruction and continual support student growth. Progress reports including internal and external assessments are shared throughout the year and are available in the parent portal.

Ongoing Evidence Collection: Feedback for students is given in real time to facilitate understanding and continuous growth. Teachers also collect evidence of student achievement and progress using various assessment tools and classroom observations to track learning patterns over time.
Standardised Assessments: Internal standardised assessments are conducted multiple times a year and include reading assessments (e.g., DRA), writing prompts, and math assessments (e.g., Junior Assessment of Mathematics). External standardised assessments like MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and ERB WrAP (Writing Assessment Program) are also used for benchmarking.
Data Analysis: Teachers analyse standardised assessment data to inform future instruction, differentiate learning, and reflect on teaching effectiveness.
Feedback and Dialogue: Timely and effective feedback is provided to students and parents to support self-awareness and self-monitoring skills. Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences serve as platforms to share goals, progress, and next steps.
Learning Continuums: In Primary School, teachers use reading, writing and maths continuums to provide a clear picture of a student’s learning progress. These continuums are developed collaboratively by your child’s teachers based on classroom observation and assessment input, and are shared with parents during Parent Teacher Student conferences as well as being available for viewing throughout the year through the parent portal.
