How does the curriculum and course selection prepare students for university?

You are here:

HKA’s triple diploma programme is specifically tailored to individual strengths and post-secondary goals. All students graduate with the HKA Diploma ( a 4 year high school credential with advanced math, multiple language options and a the opportunity to specialise in Visual or Performing Arts ) and the Global Citizens Diploma ( a 4 year programme during which students engage in up to 16 elements of global citizenship which they evidence through a digital portfolio ). The school is a fully authorised 3 programme IB World School enabling students in Grades 11 and 12 to pursue the rigorous IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) which includes a Bilingual Diploma pathway for eligible students.

The curriculum is carefully mapped to meet diverse global higher education standards while encouraging deep independent research and critical thinking. Starting in Grade 9 sudents are supported to select course options which best match their university and career aspirations. In Grade 11-12 all students engage in weekly Core classes with the post-secondary counsellors which focus on post-secondary exploration and preparation.
