What about sustainability? How can we all help to make hkaEATS as sustainable as possible?
As much as practical, we use only reusable tableware which we wash in a low water, energy efficient dishwashing facility.
For our limited paper and packaging, we source FSC or compostable wares.
We use rigorous menu planning controls to prevent over-ordering and over-production. We also work hard to repurpose what we can into dishes such as sandwiches, salads, pastas and soups.
When we have excess food that is safe but close to the end of its shelf life, we send it to local food networks for redistribution to those in need.
You can help us minimise food waste by pre-ordering meals, this makes our production much more accurate.
